this week's quote from someone else really stood out to me as this was something someone first shared with me in conversation when i was feeling defeated/like a bad person for having the unpopular opinion and felt the judgment of it being labeled as "not good" or "not right."

did a little search — turns out the quote, “The greatest flaw of the species is its overwhelming tendency to mistake agreement for truth," is from a novel by Richard Powers called The Overstory. For anyone interested, the book is about nine Americans whose unique life experiences with trees bring them together to address the destruction of forests. adding to my reading list.
