Sights & Sounds: Mercy Sang
Common Discourse is a project designed to help others (and ourselves) think through creativity, focus, and intentional work—from Alex Tan & Alice Otieno.
Every Tuesday we share words from a journal, a few ideas, a quote from somebody else, and links worth sharing. On Fridays we invite a guest to share images from their camera roll and a sound that resonates with them.
Mercy Sang is a Kenyan/Australian model and Founder of POCC, a magazine committed to highlighting and supporting POC creatives within fashion and the wider creative industry.
I connected with Mercy earlier this year for an upcoming story on the MW Journal. It was so refreshing hearing her talk through her journey into creating the publication, how she got into modelling, and sharing memories of our trips and experiences back home in Kenya.
Here’s what she sent us this week!
