Sights & Sounds: Kristoffer Tjalve

Spring is finally in full effect. I love how this season turns the most mundane activities into poetry; how it graces even the gloomiest of days with a sense of lightness and ease. This week’s contribution from Kristoffer Tjalve offers a glimpse of that from his camera roll and musings.

I came across Kristoffer’s work as a recommendation from a friend who shared his on-going web project, Naive Yearly, with me. Since then, I have been enjoying reading the newsletter segment on a Sunday morning, alongside finding new rabbit holes through links featured in his essay on alternative ways for walking on the internet.

Sights —

look up, it is beautiful, uno told me as if it was him who just had watched wim wenders perfect days

perhaps i could tell you how it smells to walk below the flowering bitter orange trees

i'm forever grateful for the memories uno is forming with his five living great-grandparents

uno picks flowers and outfits

i'll never want to live anywhere without a weekly affordable farmers market (or a garden of my own)

on clean monday greeks walk to the hills to flight kites, probably my favourite celebration

so ephemeral we are to the mountain

we went on a date, ate oysters, got tipsy, it was lovely, and this is the only photo i took

when i'm in panic or in good mood i sit on the floor
